Leave a Gift in Your Will or Trust
You can include Unity Center of NYC in your will or trust with the help of an attorney—choose to leave a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or what remains after other distributions.
Name Us as a Beneficiary of Your Retirement Account
You can designate Unity Center of NYC as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or pension. One form with your plan custodian—and your generosity lives on as a legacy of love.

If you’re 70½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA to Unity Center of NYC through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). It’s tax-free, lowers your adjusted gross income, and if you’re 73 or older, can count toward your required minimum distribution.

The enduring prosperity of the spiritual community, which the Unity Center represents, is precious. Towards this vision, we are pleased to announce the creation of a Legacy Circle. The purpose of our Legacy Circle is to encourage planned gifts to our ministry’s Legacy Fund. As the Fund grows, it will provide an ever-increasing source of annual income for Unity Center. As you may know, the donations collected are not enough to cover ongoing expenses of this ministry.
Establishing the society allows us the opportunity to acknowledge and to recognize members who have made planned gifts or commitments to the Unity Center Legacy Fund. We welcome living gifts and donations, as well, and look forward to exploring ways, together, that this might be accomplished.
Please take a moment to review the flyer enclosed. In addition to legacy giving, you may wish to consider a fourth quarter (Q4) or end-of-year gift. You will be learning more about the Legacy Circle in the coming months, as we begin to formally introduce our planned giving and Legacy Fund program through informational and educational opportunities for those who wish to know of options towards directing their charitable giving.
