Unity regularly features some of the best talent the Big Apple has to offer with award winning Broadway, cabaret, classical and pop music vocal and instrumental performers, led by our Music Coordinator Stephen Lehew and Unity Principal Pianist Dennis Buck.
Stephen Lehew: Stephen made his Broadway debut in the musical revue, “Rodgers and Hart,” and takes delight in having been chosen for this by Richard Rodgers himself. He appeared in the Broadway revival of “Brigadoon”, and in the first National Company of “A Little Night Music”. He’s also played the title roles in “The Student Prince,” “Candide,” and “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
Concert appearances include: “The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall”, the Utah and Indianapolis symphonies, and “Stephen Lehew in Concert” at Avery Fisher Hall. For many years, he was the featured vocalist for award-winning composer, Marvin Hamlisch, appearing with over twenty-five American symphony orchestras. He’s sung with the Boston Pops Orchestra in the PBS Presentation of “Evening at Pops” and A&E’s “Pops Goes the Fourth.”
Dennis Buck: Dennis is an accomplished and highly respected Broadway pianist, accompanist and vocal coach who has worked with big names including Betty Buckley, Placido Domingo, Chita Rivera and Tommy Tune. Broadway shows include: “42nd Street”, “Jersey Boys” and “Spamalot”. Dennis has also performed with the Rochester and Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestras and has taught at Brown University, The Boston Conservatory of Music and Rutgers. Visit www.DennisBuck.com
